It was in 1988 when somebody gave me a host for a while in his shed on kidaman creek road (suicide road). Bonza bloke, he had an old english bike. At this time, he was a TAFE college teacher. Unfortunately I drove over a rock on the way to his shed and my gearbox from my old and worn ford falcon station wagon broke. Alan, his neighbor fixed my gearbox and I could journey on trough this beautyful land of Oz.

Happy New Year 2011 and not too much flood for QLD.

Drove past on the weekend, the work is looking amazing. Can’t wait to see the old girl open again. I was there for NYE 2001 (I think it was 01?), great place for the community.

I must join the committee – happy to help out with working bees etc.

I’m really looking forward to engaging with local community and utilising this great venue… I moved to the valley in 2004, and I love living here, but have always longed for more community interaction – something I guessed had withered away with modern life. How do we go about finding out about any upcoming events, including working bees etc? I missed the survey that went around a good while ago seeking ideas and interest from people for the use of the hall. I have some ideas that I would like to share!
