Madeira vine infestation through Obi Obi and Kidaman Creek 

Flowering time now, it’s cream flowers make it easy to notice

Madeira vine is now not restricted to Obi Obi Creek’s riparian zones, it is found along Obi Obi Rd from the junction of Obi Obi road and Baxter Creek Road to Cochrane lookout, growing on road side verges.

 It is a serious environmental weed that can degrade intact native forests and invade rural properties

.

A meeting of Group Hall Committee members was held at Landsborough hall

Attending – Gheerulla, Kureelpa, Landsborough, Mooloolaba, Obi Obi, Peachester, Glasshouse and Montville halls

At this meeting updates were given on the coming  Landscape Band tour of

Community Halls, and the proposed Creative Wedding Expo

Coming events at Obi Obi Hall

A meeting will be held on Monday, the 4th of February at 3.30pm to explore interest in establishing an independent school in the Obi Obi Valley, all welcome.

Yoga at the hall, Tuesday, the 5th from 5.00pm until 6.00pm.

On Wednesday, the 6th of February starting at 9.30am until 11.30am, another Obi Surplus will be held.

The Obi Obi hall has some items that needs new homes

Fifteen plastic chairs in reasonable condition


Fifteen metal chairs, stainless steel frames with cloth covering

And a working barbecue, no gas bottle
