In partnership with Jason Johnston who is replacing his boundary fencing, the hall property front fence will be replaced and a wooden wing constructed on the hall side of Staves Rd to complement the existing wooden wing. The existing front fence is in a poor condition with the some of the posts supported with star pickets

Madeira vine is a significant environmental weed in Queensland which is now spreading through the Obi Obi valley. It is usually found on creek banks climbing over trees

 

Latest meeting of  various Management Committee members at Landsborough Hall

These bi-monthly meetings are organized by  Jane Goodwin,  Project Officer, Community Services, Sunshine Coast Regional Council

Hall Management Committee members from Buderim War Memorial Hall, Eudlo Hall, Gheerulla Community Hall, Kureelpa Public Hall, Landsborough School of Arts, Mapleton Hall, Mooloolah Public Hall, Obi Obi and Kidaman Creek Community Hall, and Peachester Community Hall attended the meeting. The differing ways that the committees run their hall’s activities were compared and hall insurance costs discussed.

We recently got married at Obi Obi Hall. I collected table settings for 70 people from garage sales and op shops, now ready to pass on to another couple! A range of vintage tablecloths (some are white sheets for bigger tables), amber glass bottles, tea light candle holders, white dinner plates large & small, bowls, knives/forks/spoons, glass water/ punch dispensers, battery candles, ice buckets, wine glasses, old picture frames etc
