The Fire Shed. Following on from the flood plain study, Sunshine Coast Regional Council has given permission to Queensland Fire and Rescue Service to begin the process of application to erect a fire shed. The first stage is to apply for a Development Permit for Material Change of Use, with the application required to follow an impact assessment process. This process will take several months.
The Hall. At the main entry stairs, extensions to both balustrades have completed by the Builder and fabricator Pancho has finished the addition of hand rails to the ramp and main stairs. The next stage is a visit by the Council Certifier for a final inspection of the building for compliance to the Council’s building regulations.

Outside, the swallows are proving to be persistent.
20.08.2012. At around 10.20 am, on Monday morning, in response to an emergency call-out, Obi Obi Rural Fire Brigade attended to a wildfire at Obi Obi number Two crossing and Hunsley Rd. Because of the weather conditions, hilly terrain, heavy fuel load and risk to neighbouring properties, extra assistance was requested, 9 appliances with 17 firefighters from Montville, Kureelpa, Kenilworth and Conondale Rural Fire Brigades responded, with containment obtained at around 2.00 pm.

This fire was considered to be the result of deliberate malicious intent.
